    I enjoyed this book. Garrett is a funny mix of shy in everyday situations, and yet bossy and dominant in the bedroom. He starts the book intimidated by Jennie who can be bossy and she is also off-limits as the younger sister of his friend and team captain Carter.
    The book is long and slow paced. Garrett & Jennie are attracted to each other and start a friends with benefits situation. They decide to be exclusive but secret.
    Jennie doesn’t want to have sex but they spend a long time enjoying organising without sex and their friendship grows.
    Garrett is funny, easily embarrassed and awkward and yet they keep swapping roles between who is shy and who is dominant. It makes for an intriguing relationship.
    Slowly we find out what happened to Jennie to make her so scared of sex and relationships. She hasn’t missed out on fun though and makes a comment about a boyfriend being a downgrade from her reliable vibrator collection! I like that self-pleasure and toys plays a big part in this book and is seen as a positive choice. It was a good choice for Jennie for a long time but Garrett is definitely an upgrade!! He is so sweet and caring 💗.-LouB

    Oh. My. Goodness! Garrett Anderson stole my heart. He is shy outside the bedroom, stumbles over his words and loses his train of thought but inside the bedroom…watch out, this man has all of the confidence. Jennie is very confident outside the bedroom but she lacks confidence inside the bedroom because of an incident that happened years ago.

    This book had me feeling all of the emotions:I was laughing till I cried, I was crying, I was frustrated, I was happy, and I LOVED every second of reading this book!

    Garrett is a NHL player and he has a secret that he is obsessed with his captains little sister, Jennie. Every time she is around he can’t form a single sane sentence. When Jennie moves into Garrett’s apartment building, his captain asks that he watch after Jennie. These two form such a genuine, loving, funny friendship. They become best friends.         Looking at the post-COVID world of face coverings and heightened hygiene awareness, the need for new confirmation methods that don’t require a person’s full face to be clear has emerge.

        The ear is one of the few body parts that remains unchanged over time, making it a useful alternative for technology requiring face or fingerprint recognition, said Thirimachos Bourlai, lead author of the study and an associate professor in the UGA College of Engineering. The ear recognition system Bourlai’s team developed correctly authenticates individuals with up to 99% accuracy, according to the new study (depending on the dataset and model used for testing).

        Ears are very special to every individual in much more way as a fingerprint. Even identical twins’ ears have differences, the researchers said. In other words ears don’t age the same way an individual’s face does, with the misfit of the earlobe, which drops lower over the decades.

        The ear recognition software works likewise to the face recognition. When a person gets a new phone, they have to register their fingerprint or face for the phone to recognize them. New devices mostly require users to place their fingers continuously over the sensor to get a full “picture” of their fingerprint. And face-recognition technology relies on users moving their faces in certain ways in front of their camera for the device to effectively capture their facial features. Bourlai’s proposed ear recognition algorithm works the same way.

        “The phone captures multiple samples of a person’s identity, and the images which are temporarily saved in your device,” said Bourlai. “Just like you have to use a live fingerprint to unlock your phone and compare it to your registered one, you would have to use the live ear to unlock it.

        “This is actually not the first time ear recognition has been used for security,” said Bourlai. “There are many special ways to recognize individuals utilizing other traditional modalities, such as through their face, fingerprints and iris. Ear recognition is just another exciting modality that we need to start talking more about due to its benefits, despite the understandable challenges of self-capturing an ear image.”

        Modern Ear Identification Technology Up to 97.25% Accurate

        While setting up a biometric device, the algorithm takes multiple samples of a person’s identity, such as facial images or fingerprints, and logs them into the device. When you go to unlock your device using a biometric, it takes a live sample to compare it to the logs on the device, such as a picture of your face or in this case, a picture of your ear.

        Bourlai’s software uses an ear recognition algorithm to evaluate ear scans and determine if they are suitable for automated matching. He employed a variety of ear datasets with a wide range of ear poses to test the software.

        Bourlai tested his algorithm using two different existing datasets of ear images. In one dataset, the system performance increased from 58.72% to 97.25% accuracy compared to prior ear recognition software, and with the other, performance improved from 45.8% to 75.11% when compared to the baseline approach.

        To make sure the system could work even with busy images, Bourlai and his team assessed several models, using ear images affected by image noise factors, including variations of blurriness, brightness and contrast.

        Ear recognition software could be used to enhance existing security systems, such as those used at airports around the world, and camera-based security systems, Bourlai said. His team also plans to enhance their proposed ear recognition algorithm to work well with thermal images as well to account for darker environments where it might be difficult to capture clear visible band images using conventional cameras.

        In order to fix this fatal error on your website, you need to delete all instances of Wordfence plugin phpMyAdmin database. To do this, go to the cPanel dashboard, click on phpMyAdmin as shown above. It will open a new tab in which you can select Database. You should be able to see your cPanel username in the left-hand pane.

        Next the other file wordfence-waf.php, do the same search for this on the search box, and open it like the first one. Locate the line of code that read php_value auto_prepend_file = /home2/xxxx/public_html/wordfence-waf.php’ and comment out the lines of code there.

        Create a new folder and call it any name you want. This folder would be used to house all the files and folders that are not needed in the WordPress folder. The whole idea is to manually update the WordPress folder.

        Highlight all the folders and files in the public_html folder exlcluding the wp-content folder. Ten locate the move button button above and click this. The pop-up would request you type the folder destination. Just enter the name of the folder you just created. In out own case, this is the temp_folder. This would then move all the files and folders into this temp_folder.

        Go to the WordPress website and download the latest version on WordPress. This usually come in the zip format. You will need something like 7zip to unzip. Once this was down, you shoud be able to see your WordPress folder. This when opened, you should be able to see all the recent folders just like the ones that were in the public_html folder when you opened it. Perfect.

        Step 7: Transfer This folder to Your cPanel using FTP

        Using an File Transfer Protocol like Filezilla, you can open a port and transfer these folders into your public_html folder. Just input your username of of your cPanel into the hostname, the host is the cPanel address, the password is the password of your cPanel. The port is usually 21 or you can leave this empty. After inputting all of this, click on autoconnnect and watch the local host connect with the cPanel.

        Wait until this process has been completed. The transfer may take long depending on your internet speed and PC processor speed.

        Step 8: Rename Your Plugin Folder back to Normal Plugin

        To get started, we need to login into the cPanel dashboard of the affected website.

        Step 1: Login to cPanel Dashboard

        Login to your cPanel dashboard. Since the WordPress backend dashboard can’t be accessed due to this error. The other option is to work with cPanel. Once you have logged into the cPanel dashboard, take your time to look around. And then proceed to the next step.

        Step 2: Locate Your Public_html Folder

        Click on files and locate your public_html folder under the left hand side of the list of folders available. click on this and it will open up a lot of other folders on the right hand side view. The main folders to watch out for is the “wp-admin” folder, the “wp-content” folder and the “wp-includes” folder.

        Step 3: Deactivate your Plugins

        Deactivate the plugins. Go to the wp-content folder and open it by double clicking on it. There is other folders inside but our focus is the plugins folder. We will rename this folder to plugins_old

        This would deactivate all the plugins found and used in your WordPress website.

        Step 4: Create a New Folder

        Create a new folder and call it any name you want. This folder would be used to house all the files and folders that are not needed in the WordPress folder. The whole idea is to manually update the WordPress folder.

        Step 5: Move All Your Files and Folders

        Highlight all the folders and files in the public_html folder exlcluding the wp-content folder. Ten locate the move button button above and click this. The pop-up would request you type the folder destination. Just enter the name of the folder you just created. In out own case, this is the temp_folder. This would then move all the files and folders into this temp_folder.

        Step 6: Download WordPress Unto Your Local PC

        We proceed forward by getting the WordPress downloaded manually. The first thing to do is to go to the WordPress Website.

        Click on the Get WordPress button to get redirected to the WordPress Download page.

        This would download a zip file onto your PC. This is the WordPress Folder. Using an application like winrar, it can be unzipped to the actual WordPress folder as shown below.

        Once this was down, you should be able to see your WordPress folder. This when opened, you should be able to see all the recent folders just like the ones that were in the public_html folder when you opened it. Perfect.

        Step 7: Transfer This folder to Your cPanel using FTP

        Using an File Transfer Protocol like Filezilla, you can open a port and transfer these folders into your public_html folder. Just input your username of of your cPanel into the hostname, the host is the cPanel address, the password is the password of your cPanel. The port is usually 21 or you can leave this empty. After inputting all of this, click on autoconnnect and watch the local host connect with the cPanel.

        Wait until this process has been completed. The transfer may take long depending on your internet speed and PC processor speed.

        Step 8: Rename Your Plugin Folder back to Normal Plugin

        Change the name of the plugin folder from plugins_old to plugins. this would automatically activate the plugins back to active state.

        Step 9: Refresh Your Website

        Now that we are done transferring the files, we need to refresh the website. When we refresh the website, we will notice that the WordPress backend has been restored, and we can check the dashboard to see that all of the settings have been preserved.

        Finally, we head back to the plugins tab and check the tabs. And since we have already renamed the plugin folder back to its original name. All the plugins would appear at their rightful places.

        At Princeton University and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, engineers have discovered a way to calculate and express energy loss in organic solar cells. They have been able to describe this energy loss and have extended that description to make recommendations for engineering the best devices. According to the publication, this discovery would shine more light into new ways of constructing organic solar cells.

        Professor Barry Rand, the co-author of the research study from electrical and computer engineering and the Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment, said: “There was a way that energy loss in organic solar cells was traditionally described and defined. And it turns out that that description was not wholly correct.”

        Professor Rand explained that the previous method of describing energy loss did not take into account the presence of disorder in an organic solar cell; there is dynamic disorder, which is caused by the erratic movement of molecules at the micro level, resulting in energy loss that is practically unavoidable at most temperatures. There is another type of disorder called structural or static disorder, which is a product of the intrinsic structures of the various materials used in an organic solar cell, as well as their arrangement inside a device.

        The previous research published organic solar cells didn’t account for these disorders in energy loss calculations which yielded values around 0.6 electron volts (eV), irrespectively of the materials used for the device fabrication. This oversight when taken into account by Rand and his team, they calculated energy loss and tested various devices, they found that the level of disorder played an important role in determining the overall energy loss of an organic solar cell.

        “As the disorder of a solar cell increases, we see our non-radiative energy loss component—the component that we have control over—grows rapidly,” Rand said. “The non-radiative energy loss grows with the square of the disorder component.”
