The National Championship was being held at the largest stadium in the city. It was packed with fans, all cheering for their favorite teams. Leonel was ecstatic. He grabbed Aina’s hand and they ran out of the building. They joined the crowd of people who were running through the streets in terror. The world was collapsing. The sky turned black and the ground cracked open. Buildings collapsed and fires raged. Leonel had never seen anything like it. They collapsed on the ground, exhausted and terrified. “What’s happening?” Aina asked. Leonel shook his head. “I don’t know,” he said. “But I think the world is ending.”
They lay there for a long time, holding hands and listening to the chaos around them. “We need to find a safe place,” he said. He helped Aina to her feet and they started walking again. “I’m scared,” Aina said. “Me too,” Leonel said. “But we’re going to be okay. We’re going to find a safe place.” Suddenly, they heard a noise. They looked up and saw a group of people walking towards them.

The people were dressed in strange clothes and they had strange weapons in their hands. Leonel and Aina stood up, ready to fight. “Who are you?” Leonel asked. Or were they up to something? “How can we trust you?” Leonel asked. “You don’t have to trust us,” the person said. “But you can’t stay here. It’s not safe. Come with us.” Leonel and Aina looked at each other. They knew they didn’t have much choice. They decided to go with the Evolved.
