Hernan Diaz (born 1973) is a writer. His 2017 novel In the Distance was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction,[1] as well as the PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction.[2] He also received a Whiting Award.[3] For his second novel Trust, he awarded the 2023 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction.
