The Kiss Quotient stella lane thinks math is the only thing that unites the universe. She comes up with algorithms to predict customer purchases—a job that has given her more money than she knows what to do with, and way less experience in the dating department than the average thirty-year-old.
It doesn’t help that Stella has Asperger’s and French kissing reminds her of a shark getting its teeth cleaned by pilot fish. Her conclusion: she needs lots of practice—with a professional. Which is why she hires escort Michael Phan. The Vietnamese and Swedish stunner can’t afford to turn down Stella’s offer, and agrees to help her check off all the boxes on her lesson plan—from foreplay to more-than-missionary position…
Before long, Stella not only learns to appreciate his kisses, but crave all of the other things he’s making her feel. Their no-nonsense partnership starts making a strange kind of sense. And the pattern that emerges will convince Stella that love is the best kind of logic…

I couldn’t put this down. I stayed up too late because I had to finish. I was hooked from the start. The pacing was nice and there was a good balance of ups and downs. It has a lot of R and X rates content but somehow its not gratuitous or porny. Every bit of it had a reason behind it and meant something and lead somewhere. For those reasons this didn’t bother me. (I normally prefer more PG content.) The characters were well developed and likable. I loved Stella and related to her in many ways. It was enjoyable watching her unlock and Michael being that key. I definitely recommend this as a must read. It has some heavy themes but they’re handled beautifully and it doesn’t go too in depth. The book for the most part manages to be light hearted and sweet. Also, Michael is basically a look alike for Daniel Henney soooo yum! (Good choice Helen!) I really like this author’s style of writing and will be reading everything by her.-TechieArtMam
Loved this book. It’s definitely a ‘slice of life’, character driven novel (vs plot-driven) but the writing keeps the reader engaged and there’s enough spice and other romantic ‘payoff’ to keep the pace feeling tight versus wandering. The writing is snappy, direct and clever. Also, have to say I REALLY appreciated the male MC did not have toxic traits as so many romance/womens lit novels normalize and romanticize. I appreciated that he struggled over his worry that he’d be like his criminal/deadbeat dad but the very fact he worried about it meant he wasn’t like him and had integrity and honor. Loved the heartwarming growth depicted by Stella, our female protagonist. Also liked that MOST of the book was about them and didnt include tons of scenes with side characters like mom, cousins, etc etc. Romance is really about the journey and growth of the two in the relationship, not the four other sub-plots that wander and never even wrap up (looking at you, Sylvia Day…) All in all this was a great little cozy read. Don’t expect suspense, thriller, tons of spice, or plot-driven book here. This is about Stella’s journey and it was wonderful to witness. I ALWAYS appreciate a patient, loving and tender male MC that retains plenty of masculine energy.-K.A. Thompson
