About the Author

Cassandra Clare was born to American parents in Tehran, Iran and spent much of her childhood travelling the world with her family, including one trek through the Himalayas as a toddler where she spent a month living in her father’s backpack. She lived in France, England and Switzerland before she was ten years old.

Conclusion

In the end, Tessa and Will help to defeat the Magister and his army. Tessa also learns that she is not the only one who can shapeshift. Her mother was also a Shadowhunter, and she was also able to shapeshift. This revelation helps Tessa to come to terms with her own identity, and she finally feels like she belongs.
