He is the first son of Turkish and Filipina immigrants and was raised in the Midwest. For his short story Mene, Mene, Tekel, Upharsin, which was published in Ice Cream Man Presents: Quarantine Comix Special, he was nominated for a Ringo Award in 2021 for Best Single Issue. Along with his wife and 11 chickens, he resides in Brooklyn.
