Till Life Do Us Part is a Portuguese-language dramedy television series that follows the Paixão family, who own and operate a successful wedding planning business. The show premiered on Netflix in 2021 and has been praised for its heartwarming and humorous portrayal of love, family, and forgiveness.
The central love triangle of the show revolves around Vanessa Paixão (Diana Chaves), a young and ambitious wedding planner who is engaged to Daniel Paixão (Marco Delgado), her childhood friend and co-worker. However, Vanessa is still in love with her ex-boyfriend, Vasco (Pedro Sousa), who has returned to her life after many years. Daniel is also struggling with his own personal demons, as he is secretly dealing with depression and anxiety.
Despite their personal challenges, Vanessa and Daniel remain committed to their relationship. They eventually get married, but their marriage is tested by Vanessa’s continued feelings for Vasco. Daniel also has to confront his own demons in order to be the best husband he can be.
The Paixão family is also dealing with a number of other challenges. Vanessa’s mother, Luísa (Rita Blanco), is diagnosed with a terminal illness. Vanessa’s father, Joaquim (Joaquim de Almeida), is a former soccer star who is now struggling to find his place in life. And Vanessa’s brother, Marco (Filipe Vargas), is a hopeless romantic who is constantly searching for love.
Through it all, the Paixão family remains close-knit and supportive of each other. They also continue to run their wedding planning business with passion and dedication. As they plan the weddings of other couples, they are also forced to confront their own relationships and what it means to truly love and be loved.
