The Reflection of Love novel follows Janet who has been on a search for a strong alpha male for a while now. At this rate, she doesn’t know if she will find him. As devastating as it may seem, Janet is not certain if she will experience that “Happy Ever After” she has been yearning for. Janet thought being a successful business owner would make it easy for her to find love, but she has consistently been proven wrong. Regardless of Janet’s past devastating experience. She never gave up on love. It only made her careful in deciding whether a man is with Janet for her money, dark sexual desires, or if he’s truly with Janet for her heart.
This is a story of how two successful independent people meet and form a relationship. It’s rather short and I think it could have been tighter since there’s little time to allow for development. Some of the scenes felt unnecessary, and a little uneven, leaving less time for Janet and Xavier to bond.
We have Janet, a rich bombshell coming out of a bad relationship who is set up on a blind date and meets Xavier, a sexy hunky who is also highly successful and coming out a bad relationship. They have this in common along with obvious love for similar music. There is a wealth of musical references and evil passages where characters sing random songs in dialogue. Anyhow, I can understand the attraction between the characters but would have rather seen their relationship evolve, but the story ends when they officially decide to get together.
It is not a bad short read as it held my attention and kept me turning pages, but I didn’t feel the passion or have enough time to truly fall into the characters. Still, it’s written well and fun.-Janie
I wouldn’t call this a love story, more a “like story.” two people that are wealthy and successful, not sure how to navigate each other and making sure the other one is the “right” one. The other guy Janet (our protagonist) seemed to like, kinda fell on the wayside, but I’m glad she and Xavier got together. A little shallow, and some editing is in order, but it kept my attention-Margaret
