Disney+ has released a new Christmas movie, Dashing Through the Snow, starring Lil Rel Howery and Chris “Ludacris” Bridges. The movie is supposed to be a fun and festive comedy, but it turns out to be a disappointing and dull mess.
The movie follows Nick (Howery), a mysterious man who claims to be Santa Claus, and Eddie (Bridges), a social worker who has lost his Christmas spirit. They meet by chance and embark on a wild adventure, trying to escape from a corrupt politician and his henchmen, who are after Nick’s magical bag of gifts. Along the way, they encounter various characters and situations, such as a biker gang, a runaway bride, a snowman contest, and a musical number. They also try to rekindle Eddie’s faith in the magic of the holiday season.
However, the movie fails to deliver on its premise, as it is riddled with flaws and shortcomings. The critics have panned the movie for its lack of originality, coherence, humor, and charm. They have pointed out that the movie is over-stuffed with characters and subplots, that the jokes are unfunny and childish, that the plot is nonsensical and contrived, and that the actors seem bored and unenthusiastic.
