Generally, scholarships are awarded based on a set of criteria such as academic merit, diversity and inclusion, athletic skill, and financial need, research experience or specific professional experience. it also range in generosity; some cover partial tuition, while others offer a ‘full-ride’, covering all tuition, accommodation, housing and others.

1. Statement of Purpose

Statement of Purpose

A Statement of Purpose (SOP), also known as a research statement or a letter of intent, is written to the admission panel and talks about your career path , interests, professional contributions, goals and the driving force behind pursuing a particular program.

2. Academic Transcript

A transcript is a certified record (inventory) of a student throughout a course of study having full enrollment history including all courses (or subjects) attempted, grades earned and degrees and awards conferred.

3. Application Form

Application Form is the most essential and important form needed in order to apply for scholarship opportunities. This form should be properly filled with the correct information. It would either make or break you in your admission process, so this is why it must be accurately filled out.

4. An international passport

Of course, your international passport should be one of the most important documents you should have. It is your means of travelling outside of your country to explore and discover new things. However, it is required of you to apply for your international passport early if you don’t have one so as to get your student Visa as early as possible.

Also, your passport must be valid for at least 3 years at the time of Visa application.

5. English Proficiency Letter

Some countries and institutions demand English Proficiency Test scores, which can also be referred to as IELTS (International English Testing System). This is to ensure you can read, write and speak English efficiently.

6. Reference letters or recommendation letters

This is an academic recommendation letter from your lecturers, professors, and managers that talks about your skills, achievements,  experience, and contributions so far to the institutions, college, or organisation. This enables the admission team to get insight into other things about you.

7. Curriculum Vitae

This is a document that gives well-detailed information about your academic and professional history. It gives a detail of your degree, internship, and relevant work experience. Adding your professional certificates is also necessary.
